At Pollyteach, our dogs are part of the team!
This is Dottie, she and others assist with student well-being, offering opportunities for students to interact with them showing kindness and nurture, and co-regulate during the school day. The school’s dedicated wellbeing offer comprises of enriching outdoor sessions at Felley Ranch, The Mill Adventure Base, and our on-site Forest School, promoting experiential learning in natural environments and with all kinds of animals.
Students also have access to excellent resources, including the Woodland Adventure Zone at Portland College and nearby woodlands, with afternoons dedicated to community and engagement-based activities.
At Pollyteach we believe learning is not exclusively bound to a classroom or dictated by academic study; this is why we dedicate a portion of our provision to kindness, compassion and care, and being in nature and connecting to the woodland and animals around us.
